The Society's Research Library is unique in New York City. It houses an extensive collection of historical information on The Bronx, including books, reports, pamphlets, microfilms, etc. Located in the head-quarters of The Society across the street from the Valentine-Varian House, the library is intimate and accessible. It is a major resource center for high school and college students, journalists, business and government researchers and scholars who have a professional need–or curiosity–to learn more about The Bronx. RESEARCH DONE BY THE BCHS The Bronx County Historical Society can do research on your behalf. For research inquires, there is an hourly rate of $40, with a 5 hour minimum, plus postage and expenses such as photocopies, photographs, etc = $200 ********************************************************************************************* Please note: Make sure you check the box next to "Research hours at THE BCHS library." The maximum research hours in a day is 8 hours, therefore, if you want more days spent on your research project, you must use the "Qty" drop box. Each number in the drop box represents days to be spent.
